Chapter 6: The Passion to Lead: Passionate Leaders Driven by Passionate Beliefs Draw Passionate Followers.
Am I passionate about my job? My family? My ministry responsibilities? Without conviction, there will be no passion, for “Passion must arise out of conviction” (52). This is a defining-moment chapter. It is one where you take an assessment and determine whether you are truly driven by passion for the success of the task at hand, or are simply pulled along by the demands of the job. Even more, a way to determine whether you are a passionate person or a passionate leader is to see if anyone has become passionate as a result of your leadership. For that to happen, the vocabulary of the leader must change to rightly communicate and infuse his passion into his followers. If you are not passionate about your job, then change your convictions or change your job.
