Chapter 7: Leaders Are Thinkers: Leadership Begins When You Learn to Think Like a Leader, and Leadership Is Not Achieved Until Followers Learn to Think as Well.
A leader knows where to go because he has thought carefully about the destination. He is well-studied in the facts. He is devoted to the truth. He then studies facts and truth to assess how to best act in various circumstances. Those he leads must see that although these applications may be one among many, they are ultimately the best decision. A good leader consistently makes good decisions because he has a conviction to think well.
